AKO Sponsored Accounts

To Get An AKO-Sponsored Account:

  1. Go to the AKO homepage at   https://www.us.army.mil
  2. Click on the “I ACCEPT” button.
  3. Click on the “I do not have a CAC/PIV” tab
  4. Scroll down and click on the “Create an Account” button.
  5. Enter Social Security Number.
  6. Click ‘Next'
  7. Select Account Type from the list of options

    NOTE: Select either “CONTRACTOR” or “FEDERAL CIVILIAN AGENCIES” (ALMS will NOT accept any account type that is GUEST)

  8. Click 'Next'
  9. Enter "blossom.hampton"
  10. Click 'Next'
  11. Enter complete contact details.
  12. Click ‘Next’
  13. Enter an external email address (NOTE: A military address is preferred, but a Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc., address will be accepted. If the portal locates your information in a military/personnel database, different fields will auto fill and this may change the order of the following steps).
  14. Click ‘Next’
  15. Enter the contact details for your organization.
  16. Click 'Next'
  17. Enter a password of your choosing into both password fields (Your password must adhere to the guidelines listed at the top of the registration page).
  18. Choose 3 security questions, provide answers and click 'Complete Registration' (Your security questions are very important. You will need to remember these answers and when performing a password reset, you will need to enter them exactly as you do when setting them up, including capitalization and punctuation.)
