Ammo-100-DL Army Explosives Safety Site Planning (CERT) (4E-F25/431-F9 (DL))

Ungraded knowledge checks are distributed throughout the content to provide students with immediate feedback about their level of understanding in each topic. Graded multiple choice questions are provided at the end of each course. 75% of these must be answered correctly to complete the course. After three unsuccessful attempts to do so, the course will be marked as unsuccessful.

Description: This course satisfies mandatory certification and refresher training requirements for personnel responsible for the development, review, documentation, and submission of explosives safety site plans as prescribed by DoDM 6055.09, DoDI 5160.68, AR 385-10, and DA PAM 385-64. This course provides a comprehensive review of regulations governing explosives safety site plans and the explosives safety site plan approval process, as well as technical training in the application of explosives safety quantity distance (ESQD) safe separation distances and net explosives weight (NEW) limits, the preparation of explosives safety site plan packages using ESQD calculations, scenarios, maps, waivers, and drawings, and the proper and complete submission of explosives safety site plan packages with supporting documentation including transmittal letters, installation maps, site maps, and supporting worksheets as required by DoD and DA guidance.

Audience: Ammunition area/operation supervisors, safety professionals with explosives safety responsibilities, and additional personnel requiring training in the development, review, documentation, and submission of explosives safety site plans as prescribed by DoDM 6055.09, DoDI 5160.68, AR 385-10, and DA PAM 385-64.

Length: Approximately 8 hours (self-paced learning)

Special Information: This course is considered certification and refresher training for ammunition area/operation supervisors, safety professionals with explosives safety responsibilities, and additional personnel requiring training in the development, review, documentation, and submission of explosives safety site plans.

This course is a web-based (online) course. Students must have web access and a CAC card. Students must register through ATRRS for course credit. A high-speed Internet connection is recommended to complete the course. Students such as contractors without a CAC, Local Nationals, and non-Army personnel without a full-use CAC must receive sponsorship in the ICAM system in order to complete training in the Army Learning Management System (ALMS).
