Description: This course provides technical personnel with a basic knowledge of pyrotechnics. This course defines various terms related to military pyrotechnics and smoke pots. This course will introduce the characteristics of pyrotechnic compositions and different categories of pyrotechnic items.

Audience: This course is intended for those who require a fundamental understanding of pyrotechnics. Completion of Ammo-77-CPE-DL (Characteristics of Propellant and Explosives) is recommended.

Length: Approximately 3 hours (self-paced learning)

Special Information: This course is provided as a web-based course. Students must have web access, a CAC card, and an AKO account. Students must register through ATRRS for course credit. It is recommended that you have a high-speed Internet connection in order to view the course.
