Ammo-68-DL Military Munitions Rule (MMR) (4E-F46/645-F30 (DL))

Description: This course satisfies mandatory certification and refresher training requirements for U.S. Army civilian, military, and contractor personnel responsible for the leadership, supervision, management, planning, and execution of operations involving waste military munitions (WMM) as prescribed by DoDI 5160.68, 40 CFR, AR 385-10, and DA PAM 385-64. This course provides a comprehensive review of DoD and Army guidance and federal law governing the identification, management, and transportation of hazardous waste. This course additionally provides technical training in the application of the Military Munitions Rule (MMR) for the proper designation of military munitions as waste munitions and the conduct of WMM operations to include inventory, inspection, and disposal procedures, storage, transportation, production, and permitting requirements, and firing range, recycling, and emergency response operations.

Audience: Ammunition Area/Operation Supervisors, Ammunition Handling/Operating Personnel, Explosives Safety Personnel, Safety Professionals with Explosives Safety responsibilities, and additional personnel requiring training in the leadership, supervision, management, planning, and execution of operations involving waste military munitions as prescribed by DoD 5160.68, 40 CFR, AR 385-10, and DA PAM 385-64.

Special Information: This course is considered certification and refresher training for Ammunition Area/Operation Supervisors, Ammunition Handling/Operating Personnel, Explosives Safety Personnel, Safety Professionals with Explosives Safety responsibilities, and additional personnel requiring training in the identification, management, and transportation of hazardous waste as prescribed by DoD 5160.68, 40 CFR, AR 385-10, and DA PAM 385-64. This course must be completed annually to maintain certification.
This course is a web-based (online) course. Students must have web access, a CAC card, and an AKO account. Students must register through ATRRS for course credit. A high-speed Internet connection is recommended to complete the course.

Prerequisites: Completion of 9E-F64/920-F32 (DL), ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR AMMO PERS, offered by the Defense Ammunition Center (DAC) via distance learning (DL) is highly recommended.
